Who is behind this
A multilingual travel guide about Lithuania, run from outside the EU by Lithuanians who think more of the world should know about cepelinai. If you've got a question about this page, the contact page is the place.
What we collect ourselves
If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address and message you send so we can reply and handle abuse. The server also keeps short access logs (IP, browser and referrer) for security and reliability. If you submit a photo, the photo-submission section below explains the separate review queue, EXIF stripping and IP-hash limit checks.
Recipe ratings
The same recipe shares one rating record across all six languages. New submissions retain the rating value, recipe version, UTC submission time, source and a random receipt ID. These receipts do not contain an IP address or browser identifier and are retained with the rating history. They document a submission, not a verified identity or proof that the recipe was cooked. A separate one-way daily network hash limits repeat votes; entries older than 48 hours are removed on the next submission. Your browser also remembers that you voted in localStorage (ll_recipe_rated_v1), until you clear site data. Clearing it does not delete a submitted rating.
Visitor statistics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (G-L6BM029RH1) to measure page views and visits. Google may process device, browser and visit information. We disable Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation. Page URLs and referrers sent by this integration omit query strings and fragments. No Analytics tag loads before consent. Optional Stay22 accommodation tools
Loading the map also enables Stay22’s accommodation script on these guides. Stay22 and its partners may use cookies and process your IP address, browsing and booking activity for recommendations and affiliate attribution. Your choice is remembered for 180 days; you can disable Stay22 here at any time. Stay22 privacy policy. Browser localStorage: remembers your choice to enable Stay22 on accommodation guides. Use Disable Stay22 beside a map to withdraw it; the page reloads to stop the script. Cookies already set by external services can be cleared in your browser.
Browser storage
The browser stores your analytics choice for 180 days in ll_analytics_consent_v1. If you accept, Google Analytics can set _ga and _ga_L6BM029RH1 cookies for up to 180 days, renewed during use. Rejecting analytics removes those first-party analytics cookies. Saved recipes and requested features keep their own storage. Necessary session cookies may support secure photo submissions. The browser also stores your choices for analytics, Stay22 and YouTube for 180 days in ll_cookie_consent_v1. “Okey” allows all three; Cookie settings on this privacy page lets you change or withdraw each permission.
Saved recipes and shopping lists
If you use My recipes, LithuaniaLinks stores saved recipe IDs, titles, URLs, images, cuisine labels, the last 10 recipe pages viewed and shopping-list items in this browser’s localStorage. This information stays on your device, is not sent to our server and does not require an account. It is shared only between tabs for this site through the browser storage event. You can remove it with Clear collection or by clearing this site’s browser data.
When you send us a photo
If you choose to send us a photo via the submission form, we store: the photo itself (re-encoded, with all EXIF metadata including GPS coordinates stripped before saving), your email (for contact about your submission), and a one-way hash of your IP address (used to count submissions per day and prevent abuse; photo-submission records contain the hash, not the raw IP address). Submissions sit in a quarantined queue until we review them by hand. If we publish, we credit you with only the name you typed in the optional credit field. If you ask us to remove a photo later, we delete it on request. Rejected submissions: the file is deleted, the record kept briefly for audit. If we publish your photo, the photo and your chosen credit are publicly visible on this website. Your submission email is not published.
Cookies and external services
Use Cookie settings on this privacy page to accept, reject or withdraw analytics. See the cookie rules for storage details. Stay22 uses its separate enable/disable control. YouTube players connect to YouTube only when you activate a player; external services apply their own privacy rules.
Your privacy requests
Use the contact page for access, correction or deletion requests about information you submitted. Analytics consent can be withdrawn in Cookie settings. Browser-only recipe data can be removed on your device.

The guide directory at guides.lithuanialinks.com has separate guide accounts, profile moderation, enquiries and operational email records. Its privacy notice applies there. Consent on this travel site does not automatically enable optional scripts on Guides, and consent on Guides does not enable scripts here.
